The Mailing Team

The Mailing Team – a crucial arm for all candidates.

"Knock on doors", "walk with the candidate", "canvass your precinct", "work on the phone bank and make phone calls", everyone who works on a political campaign hears these calls for volunteering all the time.  And they are critical components of getting elected.

VotW: Sara Wick

This week's Kalamazoo County Democratic Party's Volunteer of the Week recognition goes to Sara Wick!

Sara is our Front Desk Coordinator, in charge of scheduling and training volunteers to work at the front desk at Dem HQ.  She also actively canvasses and makes phone calls for our local candidates, while somehow also working diligently to get Jocelyn Benson elected to be our next Secretary of State.

In addition, Sara serves as an officer for the KCDP and sits on the finance committee.  She is also our coordinator for the Senior Expo this October.

Governor Granholm Speaks to Volunteers

The Kalamazoo County Democratic Party is sounding the siren song for Volunteers!

Help America by helping Americans gain the knowledge and power to shape their destiny.

Are you willing to lay it on the line? If so, fill out our online volunteer form, or email Genna Nichols at gnichols@kzoodems.com to find out how you can help Volunteer for America!

KCDP would like to thank our Mail Divas, Nancy Crowell and Sandy Kristen, for all that they do for our County Party and our local candidates.

Mailings are such an important part of getting out our message, and they make it look so easy. For instance, their team just completed a 2,300 piece mailing in one day!

Again, thank you, Nancy and Sandy, for all your contributions to the KCDP!

The Kalamazoo County Democratic Party would like to thank COUNTY COMMISSIONER JOHN TAYLOR, our KCDP Volunteer of the Week, for all of his hard work on behalf of the party.

Even though John is unopposed for November's election, he has been extremely helpful with mailings, phone banks, and canvassing for other races. He has also been a strong fundraiser for the KCDP and the Bob Jones Campaign, helping to raise over $3,500 last week.

Thank you, John, for all that you do!

Help Democrats Win in Nov.: VOLUNTEER NOW!

2009-07-18-10-50-56.jpg

It is critical. Redistricting is at stake. Our campaigns need your help now more than ever! With this year’s census results determining our representation for the next 10 years, it is vital for us to have Democrats in power. We can and will win in November, but we need you help!

Everyone can help somehow, and there are many different ways that each person can volunteer for KCDP and our candidates. Volunteers can sign up to make phone calls, canvass neighborhoods, and make food for volunteers. We will also need help with preparing mailings and data entry at our Westnedge office.

Congratulations to SUSAN HOLMAN for being this week's Volunteer of the Week! Susan can be seen almost daily down at Democratic Headquarters helping with mailings, working at the front desk, or making lots of calls for our phone bank. Her can-do attitude and optimistic disposition help light up our office.

Thank you, Susan, for all your time and hardwork!
