Health care Rally

June 27, 2009 - 3:00pm - 5:00pm

What: "We Want Healthcare" Rally
When: Saturday June 27, from 3 pm to 5 pm
Where: Front of the Kalamazoo Federal Building-Downtown
Who: KCDP members, OFA activists, and ALL Concerned Citizens

Come support the President's vision for meaningful healthcare reform this year. Local community members are asked to come to the Kalamazoo Federal Building from 3 to 5 pm to demonstrate their support. Healthcare reform has been talked about for far too long. Now is the time to make it a reality.

Many people supported President Obama during his campaign because of his commitment to healthcare for all Americans. To truly make that vision a reality, Americans must stay engaged and continue to fight the fight. Change in healthcare will not just happen without clear support from the grassroots in our communities. That is where you come in.

So, come on out! Bring your friends! Bring your signs! Let your voice be heard this time over the same special interests groups and scare tactics that have stalled healthcare reform for decades. We will not be drowned out this time. Not with your voice!

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear more about the President's 3 principles for healthcare reform, to sign a petition to be delivered to our representatives in Congress and to call their local representatives to tell them we are ready for change! This rally will be held in conjunction with events for a National Day of Service for Healthcare events happening across the country.

To sign up for more events on June 27th in our community go to www.barackobama.com or call Jen Strebs, ObamaZoo -OFA Regional Lead, at (269) 341-9609 for more information.
