Karen Wellman Gets KCDP Endorsement

City Commissioner candidate Karen Wellman spoke at the KCDP Officer's Meeting in August, seeking the endorsement of the party for the upcoming election. Wellman says she's, "an educator, businesswoman, mother, and lifetime resident of West Michigan with a demonstrated record of service." Her record includes work with Habitat for Humanity, the Housing Board of Appeals, and the Zoning Board of Appeals. She's also been the secretary of the WEB Neighborhood Association, she has organized a neighborhood watch and a block club, and edited a community newsletter. 

Endorsement by KCDP means her campaign will have an advantage with access to the party's voter registration records. 

The officers of the KCDP voted to give an endorsement to Karen Wellman.

UPDATE: The officers made a recommendation to the E.C. in August, but the question of the endorsement was put to the E.C. at the September Third Thursday meeting. The full E.C. approved the recommendation of the officers.
