In this podcast Michael Quinn delivers perhaps one of the most memerable quotes of this podcast series. He says about why he wants to run for office, "It's a conviction that government can be done better, and should be run in the interests of the people instead of other interests. I think government ought to be, one, in the interest of the greatest number of people for the greater good and, two, it should be transparent. People in government should speak honestly to the citizens about what they want to do and convince them by good arguments that what they are doing is the correct course... For big changes, things that affect peoples' lives, talk with them and seek agreement that this is the way we ought to go. I think whenever we can we should spend extra time and try to achieve consensus rather than [have] just a small majority that leaves a bunch of people dissatisfied with either the process or the result."
