KCDP Reaction to Mass. Senate Election
Last nights Special Election for the Senate seat held the late Ted Kennedy for nearly half a century marked a disappointing turning point for healthcare reform in the United States. With the addition of another ardent opponent of affordable healthcare, Wall Street and the giant healthcare corporations supported by the Republican Party have gained a tighter grip on the health and well being of our nation, as well as ensured the status-quo of our broken healthcare system that has threatened our economic future for much too long. Yesterday’s election also amplifies the importance of 2010 elections across our nation. More than ever the State of Michigan needs our best and brightest minds at the helm and the Kalamazoo County Democratic Party will continue the fight for real economic and government reform, not only for our county but for every resident of our state.
