President Obama visits Kalamazoo!!!

Kalamazoo makes History!

What an exciting time to be a Democrat in Kalamazoo! On June 7th, we were graced with a visit from the President of the United States, Barack Obama. President Obama flew to Kalamazoo aboard Marine One, landing in Angell Field at Kalamazoo College before giving the commencement speech to the Kalamazoo Central High School Class of 2010 at Western Michigan University. 

The President’s historic visit is something many of us will never forget. His address to the students was truly inspirational. The Kalamazoo Promise has changed our community forever. The KCDP salutes the donors of the Promise and we thank them for their commitment to our community. The KCDP will strive to elect Democrats to every level of government who also believe that Education should be supported and funded to the fullest extent.
