Support Responsible Legislation

Today at the Radisson Hotel a group called the Michigan Taxpayers Alliance (MTA) will be hosting a "recall boot camp", using hired consultants from Wisconsin to train interested persons in the process to recall elected officials. The MTA is chaired by Leon Drolet. Mr. Drolet was also a leader in the force which brought Proposal 2 - the amendment to Michigan's state constitution and ended affirmation action. His new goal for Michigan - scare our legislators in Lansing who have said they will support the revenue increase created to balance Michigan's budget. The MTA has declared that legislators who vote in favor of the revenue increase should be recalled - and they are going out across Michigan trying to sell their message.

Come today and stand in support of Representative Robert B. Jones as he publicly addresses the MTA about realities of Michigan's budget crisis at the Radisson Hotel at 6:30 p.m. today to demonstrate to the MTA that Kalamazoo and its voters are concerned about keeping Michigan families first. That huge, devastating cuts into education and health care are not acceptable - and that their scare tactics will not prevent us from supporting our legislatures who make responsible choices for Michigan families!

Organize in Protest today against Mr. Drolet and the MTA!

Help Us Help Michigan

An anti-tax group, who are threatening to ruin the State of Michigan, is having a "Boot-Camp" to teach people how to recall Representatives in Lansing who vote for any tax increase. The boot-camp is at the Radisson Hotel at 7pm-9pm Wednesday the 18th. We would like to get Party Activists protesting outside. Students would be great to protest the ever increasing rise in tuition, etc. There will be more information to follow in the next few days. Representative Jones would appreciate any help you can offer.
