Fellow Democrats - this is a follow-up
to our first message about the
breakfast. You may have seen in Saturday's paper that Francois is
closing his restaurant. We have switched to the Blue Dolphin.
Candidate Information Breakfast
Have you ever considered being a candidate for public office? Have you
ever been curious about what running for office and serving in a
public office is like? Have breakfast on us at the Blue Dolphin
Restaurant (502 S. Burdick, downtown Kalamazoo) on January 19 and
learn about what is involved in public service in elective office.
We will meet and greet at 9 am, and start the program promptly at 9:30
am. You will hear from previous candidates at city, township, county,
and state levels, about the experience of running a campaign, as well
as the realities of serving in public office. You will get practical
information on how to organize a campaign. Meet others who are also
considering this step.
Don't wait for someone else to step up - consider if you could serve
your fellow citizens in this way. RSVP to Mark Miller, Candidate
Recruitment Chair.
